Everything you need to start practising with confidence

Live Lecture

Ken walks you through the core counselling skills in clear, practical terms: what each one is, how it works, and when to use it.

Skills Key Pack

A downloadable guide covering nine counselling skills, one page each. What it is, how it works, what it does for you and your client.

Real Counselling Session

Watch a full, genuine counselling session with a real client. The thing your course structurally cannot give you because of confidentiality.

A practical session you can take straight into your next skills practice

If you have ever sat in a skills practice session and thought, "Am I actually doing this right?", you are not alone. It is one of the most common experiences in counselling training. And there is a reason it feels that way.

Because of client confidentiality, you can never observe a qualified therapist working with a real client. You learn the theory, you practise in triads, but you never get to see what "good" actually looks like in a real therapeutic relationship.

In this lecture, Ken will show you a practical framework for understanding and using your counselling skills with confidence. You will leave with:

  • A clear breakdown of the core counselling skills and how each one works in the room
  • An understanding of what each skill does for you as the counsellor, and what it does for the client
  • Access to a real counselling session you can watch and map the skills as they unfold
  • A downloadable Skills Key Pack covering nine core skills — a practical tool you can use before, during, and after every session, yours to keep
